VISTA's annual symposium will take place at the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters on February 5 and 6 2007. If you want to receive an invitation for this event, please contact the VISTA coordinator Ida Sofia Vaa by e-mail: vista@dnva.no. The language of the symposium will be Norwegian.
VISTA project manager receives the Birkeland Prize
Professor Alex Hansen, who is the project manager of the VISTA project "Geometry of fracture networks in reservoirs", has received the Birkeland Prize for his work in statistics and computational physics.

Award for Lifetime Contribution. The Desiderius Erasmus Award is presented to a member of the Association in recognition of his/her outstanding and lasting achievements in the field of resource exploration and development.

VISTA scholar's day 2008
This year's scholar's day will be at Statoil's research center at Rotvoll on Tuesday October 14. All of VISTA's scholars will have an opportunity to present their research to the other schoalr's, project managers, the VISTA board and researchers from StatoilHydro. Please see the program bleow. A detailed overview of the group sessions will be posted shortly before the scholar's day.
