VISTAs new priority areas

The VISTA board has developed a new strategy for the VISTA programme for 2014-2019. The four new priority areas are:

Exploration
Improved recovery
Future development and operations
Environment

VISTA's overall vision is to stimulate basic research in the natural sciences as it relates to the utilization and management of the nation's petroleum resources. VISTA also encourages projects that are relevant to several of the priority areas. 

VISTA will continue the ongoing PhD and Postdoc projects within the previous focus areas Oil and Gas Processing and Biotechnology.

In the future, petroleum resources will be far from shore, in deeper water, in areas with ice, and in areas with strict environmental standards. The new focus area Future development and operations will target new exciting projects in order to meet strict requirements to robustness, integrity and availability.
