Organisation of the VISTA programme

The VISTA cooperation is led by the VISTA board, where both the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters and Statoil are represented.

Current board members:

Svenn Utengen, Director of research and Technology, Statoil

Leif Lømo, Special adviser, Statoil

Knut Fægri, Professor of Chemistry

Nils Christian Stenseth, Professor of Biology

Bjørn Jamtveit, Professor of Geophysics

Tore Vorren, Professor of Geology

Cato Wille, VISTA program manager.

Division committees

In addtion to the board , the target areas have a steering division committee. A steering committe is led by the division head from Statoil and a board member representing the Academy. Currently VISTA has four target areas:

Strategy

The operations and long term strategy of Statoil is decisive to the scientific activities of the VISTA programme. The boards main responsibility is both to manage current activities and to develop new opportunities. Relevant research environments and groups are invited to apply for scholarships within the VISTA programme.

Technical contact persons

To maintain communication with Statoil and exploit relevant research results all project have a technical contact person within Statoil.

Administration

VISTA is managed by the program manager. The coordinator undertakes all day to day administrative affairs.

The VISTA office is located at the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters in Oslo.
